Terms of Service
Last updated: May 31, 2026
Welcome to Menui. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Who We Are
Menui is a digital menu platform that allows restaurants, cafes, and food businesses to create QR-code menus, manage items, and publish their menu online. The service is operated by an independent developer ("we", "us", or "our").
2. Your Account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and confidential
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- You must provide accurate information when registering, and keep it up to date
- One account per person — sharing accounts between multiple people is not permitted
3. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use Menui to:
- Upload or display content that is illegal, abusive, hateful, or violates anyone's rights
- Upload images you do not own or have permission to use
- Misrepresent your business or impersonate another restaurant
- Resell access to Menui, or use your account to create menus for unrelated third-party businesses (extra restaurants must be paid for as add-ons)
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the platform
- Use automated systems to abuse our API or upload endpoints
- Bypass any plan limits or feature restrictions
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without refund where the violation is material.
4. Subscription Plans
We offer the following plans:
- Free — $0/month. 1 restaurant, 5 categories, 30 menu items.
- Menui Pro — $6.99/month per restaurant after a 14-day trial.
Paid plans renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account settings or by emailing us. See our Refund Policy for details on cancellations and refunds.
5. Billing
- All prices are in US Dollars (USD)
- Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
- You authorize us (and our payment processor) to charge your selected payment method on each renewal date
- Failed payments may result in your account being downgraded to the Free plan until payment is resolved
- Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice; existing subscriptions keep their current price until the next renewal after the notice period
6. Your Content
You retain full ownership of the content you upload (menu items, descriptions, photos, logos, etc.). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process it solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and your customers.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content you upload, including images, brand names, and menu item descriptions.
7. Our Service
We provide Menui "as is" and will do our best to keep the service available and working. However:
- We do not guarantee 100% uptime — occasional maintenance or outages may occur
- We may add, change, or remove features over time
- We may use third-party providers (such as AWS S3 for image storage and Render for hosting) to operate the service
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. When you delete your account, all of your restaurants, menus, categories, and uploaded images are permanently removed within 30 days.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay, or use the service in a way that harms us or other users.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the dashboard at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Menui after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operator is based. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith discussion first, and if that fails, in the courts of that jurisdiction.
